VeloVersionBaykus, Velo Version'ın bir üreticinin yeni bir yazılım sürümü yayımladığını tespit etmek için kullandığı otomatik ajandır. Üreticilerin sahipleri için yayımladığı, örneğin Cars gibi kategorilerdeki herkese açık sürüm notu sayfalarını okur ve henüz kayıtlı olmayan sürümleri siteye ekler. Oturum açmaz, form doldurmaz ve kişisel veri toplamaz.

Zamanlama

Bir görev saatte bir başlar, ancak her sayfa kendi takvimini izler ve takip edilen sayfalar en fazla günde bir kez kontrol edilir. Önceki ziyaretten bu yana değişmeyen bir sayfa yeniden indirilmez: ajan, sunucunun sağladığı doğrulayıcıları (ETag ve Last-Modified) gönderir ve "not modified" yanıtı alınca durur.

Davranış

  • Önce robots.txt dosyasını okur ve yasaklanan hiçbir yere erişmez.
  • Aynı web sitesine yapılan iki istek arasında en az 2 saniye bekler.
  • Bir isteği 15 saniye sonra bırakır, en fazla iki kez yeniden dener ve bir sayfadan hiçbir zaman 4 MB'tan fazlasını indirmez.
  • Yalnızca herkese açık sayfaları okur; bir site otomatik erişimi reddederse durur ve reddi aşmaya çalışmaz.
